Filed under: Fun — Tanveer Badar @ 10:17 PM

I finally decided to change system’s default browser from IE to FF. About time, it is.

  2. Well actually, no. The general rule of “whatever open sources does, Microsoft does it 10 times better” is reversed for the browser case.

Whatever IE tries to do, FF actually delivers it on time and 10 times better. Look at the extensible add-on architecture of FF. Do you really want to mess with all those cryptic COM interfaces in IE to develop something close to what FF offers? I think not.

Let’s not even go into the W3C standards wars, things outside that bottom less pit are interesting too. For example, the thing I hated in IE7 was the ridiculous, half-baked, zoom. FF3 performs a much better page zoom and before IE8.
